Time Off

Fall 1989 -> Spring 1994

A year went past and I found myself attending Carnegie Mellon Univ. as a freshman Comp-Sci Major. My BBS was forgotten, though my classes where also after time. While spending time at CMU I "dropped outta the scene". I explored the internet and leached more MOD files for the amiga than my harddrive could hold.

To set the record straight. I RIPPED (removed, extracted, took-out) 4 mods for an Acid Demo, along with a mod called Luna-Waves, and slapped my name on it, and put that I had RIPPED them. This was before all the auto mod rippers had emerged on the scene. I still get email about these damn things. Let me say this again. I DID NOT WRITE THESE, I DID NOT INTEND TO MAKE IT APPEAR THAT I DID.

I did three semesters at CMU then took some time off to get a taste of the real world back at home. Decided to tackle school again, and did another 2 years there.

Time passed and things happened. I started DJing techno show on the CMU radio station, and other things. Teamed up with Sean (wipeout@dhp.com, url is above as an exercise to the reader), and created DHP.COM. After playing with that for a long time we both decided that it was time to go "back" into the scene. I made a small attempt by going to the Washington DC 2600 meeting that was a month after the scuffle with the Feds. Anyone there will remember the Pittsburgh crew, we were the ones in the Huge Van with the stereo system and the Amiga 1000 in the back along with a diesel generator strapped to the roof for power (hey, it worked, don't gimme any shit).
